I'm thinking that for my project I will provide some sort of infographic that promotes keeping our natural trails alive. Basically, one route I can take it is to show how more and more natural trails and locations are being overran by development and big business. I really want to outline the devastating effects this sort of development has on the community. This sentiment comes from the fact that many of the trails I've come to know and love are being destroyed for new housing development especially in my local community. I know many people who are saddened by the changes and would wish for the trails to stay. I can show how the natural areas provide a habitat for local animals, provide fun and cheap entertainment for families, etc.
Another interesting direction I can take is the importance of trails in general. That is, I can show the harmful effects to the environment by going off trail, or the individual safety benefits of staying on trail. There are a surprising number of reasons why trails are important, so it may be cool to cluster them into a single infographic that is fun to look at and read.
Each route I think I'll provide some image of a path and "vectorize it" then provide some bubbled "popouts" of info to inform the viewer.
